What it means
At Pentecost the Spirit came as tongues of fire (Acts 2:3), and as a dove at Jesus's baptism (Matthew 3:16). Both are on this stole, for the feast and for ordinations.
Printed full length like stained glass: flames climbing both panels from the hem and a white dove rising through each panel, with clean squared hems.
When it is worn
Red carries the Day of Pentecost and, in the Episcopal Church and many Anglican churches, ordinations.
