What it means
The tree of life stands at the beginning of Scripture, in the garden (Genesis 2:9), and at its end, beside the river, its leaves for the healing of the nations (Revelation 22:2).
Printed full length like stained glass: roots at the hem, a trunk climbing each panel and a canopy of green and gold toward the neck, with clean squared hems.
When it is worn
Green is worn through Ordinary Time, the season after the Epiphany and the season after Pentecost, except when the day has its own colour: most Sundays of the year.
